Saturday Special with Kraft Outlet

Today we are taking a mini-break from papercrafting to step into the artistic world of Primitive and Folk Art. Also because it is almost spring, and I am living in Mid-Michigan AND we just so happen to still have snow up to our patooties... I've been especially drawn to anything and everything that reminds me of spring which is why I just have to show this "egg-traordinary" piece of work...

Vintage Inspired Folk Art by Babette Switzer
This cute little Robin is a firm believer in the power of positive thinking! The vintage style cardboard egg carton is filled with 11 beautiful speckled bird eggs in all shades of Spring blues and off white. As you can see in the photo the paper mache eggs are distressed, speckled with a warm brown and then stained to achieve that vintage prim feel. The eggs and the Robin Red Breast are nestled in Spanish Moss and come with a Prim Grungy shipping tag that is adorned with a hymnal page printed with a Victorian birds nest and a cute little bird in a blue envelope. The finishing touch is the hand stamped text "Dream Big!"

This spring-inspired piece is available for sale at this link right here and can also be seen along with other unique art by Babette at My Spare Time Designs.

Thank you for stopping by the blog for our Saturday Special post, check back in again tomorrow for news and reviews from Kraft Outlet and don't forget you still have until Sunday at 6:00 p.m., (Eastern Time) to enter our current challenge.  You can find the link to enter your project in the upper right hand sidebar of the blog!
