This week we've got a special Guest Designer that we are thrilled and excited to introduce here today at The Kraft Journal!
|Jan Del Bone|
Jan Del Bone is a retired college instructor, who lives in Eugene, Oregon. She has been involved in paper crafts for one year plus, but has always had some sort of creative outlet. You name it, she has tried it. Her blog, Chai Tea 'n Me, includes her paper endeavors, and often a story about her goofball grandson, Spencer.

Jan always WELCOMES SUMMER with a list of books she is wanting to read. She used a library card, card pocket and fiber from The Kraft Outlet to design a card based on books. The little book is handmade, from cardboard, ink and a digital image. Please join us in welcoming Jan this week as our Guest Designer by leaving a comment here on the blog. You can see more of Jan's unique style at her blog as well!
Design Team Reveal "Welcome Summer" Challenge
Tracy created the little star banner using stars cut out of chipboard and covered in some DP. They're strung on some Red Baker's Twine.
For the inside of the card she covered a Card Sleeve Envelope with some of the paper and wrapped some the the Bakers Twine around it. The tag is a Scalloped Grungy Prim Tag stamped with the the cook out details finished with a stapled a piece of Natural Twill Tape.
For this week's Welcome Summer challenge, Audrey created a bright and happy card using fun patterned paper and some of her favorite new embellishments from The Kraft Outlet. Avignon Patterned Paper Tape does double duty as a paper strip across the top of the card, as well as a ruffled trim along the bottom paired with Adelaide Seam Binding. A new journaling card from the Family Tree collection holds a stamped summertime sentiment and creates a backdrop for a banner created from the new Chipboard Flag Pieces and yellow alpha stickers. Earthy Hemp Cord suspends the banner in place and finishes off a vintage button for a final touch.
Kristina made a very summer inspired gift card holder out of a Small Kraft Pillow Box. The box was decorated using the Pretty Bird Paper Tape collection. She also used one of her favorite items from Kraft Outlet, the Silver Bottle Cap, for the flower. The leaves were created using the same Pretty Bird Paper Tape. The butterfly was also cut out of the Pretty Bird Paper Tape that had been layered on a piece of Lunch Bag Kraft Text Paper and then punched out with a butterfly punch. Please visit Kristina's blog for all of the details.
