Kraft Outlet Guest Designer

This week we're excited to have Penny Smith, a talented designer for both Imaginisce and Epiphany Crafts as our Guest Designer here at Kraft Outlet and The Kraft Journal. Here's a bit about Penny...

Penny Smith

Hi, I'm Penny Smith... I have been scrapbooking since Mrs, Grossman stickers where the BOMB! :) Before working part time at a scrapbooking store where I also teach, I was a Registered Veterinary Technician specializing in Emergency and Critical Care, and a Marine Mammal Trainer (yes, I trained dolphins! :) ) I gave up my career with animals for a career in mothering 10 years ago. It's the hardest job I ever loved! In addition to the scrapbooking store, I have been blessed to be a Ranger Certified Educator, been published several times in Scrapbook Trends and other projects, and I am VERY fortunate to be on the design team for Imaginisce, and Epiphany Crafts, who I also work as a demonstrator. Scrapbooking has allowed me to meet SO many great people!!

Please, come by my blog, Artfully Embellished and add yourself as a follower! Any giveaway I have, all followers are always included!

Design Team Reveal: Patriotic or Americana

Tracy MacDonald
For her card, Tracy used a Brown Kraft Coverweight cardstock base and added some patriotic designer papers layered on top of some 7 Gypsies Venice Gaffer Tape.  Next she added a 7 Gypsies Mini Gypsy Ephemera Label, a Scalloped Grungy Prim Tag with a 7 Gypsies Steampunk Time Rubbing, and an accordion rosette made of the Brown Kraft cardstock.  On top of the rosette she added a button with some Dark Jewel Hemp Cord.  The sentiment was stamped with  a stamp from the Sentiment Cling Rubber Stamp set onto Buff Ivory Cover Weight cardstock.  Lastly she added some 7 Gypsies Victoria Seam Binding scrunched up on the bottom of the card.

Frances Sylvia
For this week's Americana Challenge, Frances used a mix of Jenni Bowlin's paper and embellishments. The red, navy, and white colors really POP against the Lunch Bag Kraft Cardstock. To add to the homespun look of her layout, she, of course, added Blue Baker's Twine around her cardstock, in her button, and around the body of the corrugated butterfly. And to the beautiful gold Jenni Bowlin butterfly, she added a couple of Jenni Bowlin Garnet Stick Pins. To see close-ups of Frances' layout, visit her blog Forever and a Year.
