Thursday Trigger with Kraft Outlet and Guest Designer Debbie Carriere

Debbie Carriere
Debbie loves sketches and starts nearly every card with one.  For this week’s Thursday Trigger card, she chose a tall and thin sketch to work with.  The finished size of her card is 3-1/2” x 7”, and the base is Brown Kraft Cover Weight cardstock.   Debbie used Kraft Text Weight paper to create her background paper.  She stamped a couple coffee images (java text block and coffee rings) randomly on a piece of the kraft paper which she then crumpled up and smoothed out.  She distressed the wrinkled paper with Distress Ink -Tea Dye from Tim Holtz.  This paper was cut to size, layered on a piece of black cardstock, and stitched around two corners.  Debbie layered some die cut shapes and stamped images with black twill tape and felt scallop borders to create her card front.  She finished the card off with a couple rhinestone brads and clear sparkles.  For a closer look and a look at the sketch she used, visit her blog.
