Kraft Outlet Guest Designer for October

This month we'll also be featuring work from our Guest Designer, Angi Barrs of  Angi and Cokie Designs blog. We're excited to have Angi join us to design projects we know will inspire you, using Kraft cardstock and other products available at Kraft Outlet. Today we'll introduce Angi to you and then on our weekly Thursday Trigger posts we'll reveal her creations through the end of October! So be sure to stop back in again on Thursday for this week's challenge Trigger from Angi Barrs.

Hello fellow crafters. My name is Angi Barrs and I  live in "Terrific Texas". I wear many hats in my family. Besides crafting, I am a mom of 2 wonderful daughters, I teach Junior High School, and I am a big supporter of Autism Awareness programs. I am also a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Oohrah! I make a variety of crafts from cards, to layouts, to altered projects. One of my faves is kraft. It's a beautiful natural material that goes great with any type of project.  I'm also a HUGE Fan of recycling and kraft is a great resource to use for this as well. I'm so excited to be here at The Kraft Journal. I'm a big fan of the blog and storeYou can also check me out at my blog.

Kraft Outlet Design Team Reveal for "To Die Cut For"

Jennifer Cuthbertson
Jennifer layered a couple of stamped label die cuts over a kraft pillow box stamped with silver snowflakes to make this festive holiday gift container. These great pillow boxes are the perfect size for little treats or a gift card! She also used some chipboard flag die cuts and coordinating die cut flag stickers to make the little "to/from" flags which were glued on to toothpicks and tucked behind the labels. The little box was finished with a big red bow. Head over to her blog for more information!

Tracy MacDonald

Tracy created her card with a base of Brown Kraft Cover Weight cardstock matted with Buff Ivory Cover Weight cardstock.  She next added a layer of designer papers with some Twill Tape tied around the mat layers.  The flower was cut from the Tim Holtz Tattered Florals Sizzix die and embossed on the back side for the 3D effect.  The center button is tied with Earthy Hemp Cord.  The flower was mounted on a mat consisting of a base of Chipboard covered with more of the Buff Ivory cardstock, both cut from a Nestabilities Fleur De Lis Pendant die.  She used another Nestablities square die for the brown Kraft center and matted it with more of the designer paper.  The sentiment  was created with the Brown and Buff papers using a Nestabilites Fancy Tag die.

Audrey Pettit
Audrey created a pretty butterfly card for this week's To Die Cut For challenge using Spellbinder's Wonderful Wings dies and lots of her favorite products from the Kraft Outlet. The card base, matting, and sentiment strip are all made from Buff Ivory Coverweight Cardstock. Audrey added fun patterned papers and strips of Victoria Seam Binding and Merry Christmas Paper Tape across the center of the card. A Family Tree Journaling Card is the perfect spot for the die cut and glittered butterfly topped with a vintage button. Audrey finished the card with a rub-on sentiment banner and a simple bow made from the seam binding and Hang Tag String.Link
