Watch Us Wednesday with Kim Duran: Halloween Die Cut Banner Tutorial

Hi everyone! It's Kim here to show you how to use your die cuts to create a quick and simple Halloween banner using products from The Kraft Outlet. Let's get started!

Start by die cutting five pennant pieces using Spellbinder's Nested Lacey Pennants and Buff Ivory cardstock from The Kraft Outlet. Then, stamp each pennant to decorate.

Now we are going to create our accordion shaped circles. First, trim five pieces of cardstock 1" wide x 11" long strips (I trimmed 2 pieces of Buff Ivory cardstock and 3 pieces of Lunch Bag Kraft cardstock). Score each strip of cardstock every 1/2" inch.

Fold strips accordian style. Connect the ends with hot glue or other strong adhesive. It should look like a star burst.

Press the top edges of the star burst down and inward so that it lays flat into the shape of a circle.

Punch out a 1" circle and adhere to the back of your accordion circle to secure in place.

Ink the edges to decorate.

Now for the fun part - embellishing! Die cut two stars and cover with orange glitter.

Hole punch top corners of pennants for ribbon. Adhere all the accordion circles to the center of each pennant. Adhere chipboard letters. Then, run black ribbon through the holes of each corner, starting from the center and working your way out to each pennant.

Decorate with buttons, black baker's twine, and flowers! Pretty easy!

Now, don't forget about our big Halloween Have a Hoot Give Away! Click here for a chance to win our $20.00 Kraft Outlet store voucher by a random drawing held on Halloween!
