Kraft Outlet Guest Designer Lynn Darda

My name is Lynn Darda and during the day I teach elementary art. At night, I can usually be found in my basement studio creating with stamps and paper. I started scrapbooking about 20 years ago. About a year ago I started a blog, From My Bungalow, and I have had so much fun participating in challenges and submitting some projects for publications. I even won the PaperCrafts Magazine "Stamping Royalty" Contest this year. When I was participating in a blog hop for "Stamping Royalty" I randomly visited commenters blogs and that's how I found The Kraft Journal. I am usually drawn to vintage-inspired papers and accents that go so well with The Kraft Outlet products, from Kraft cardstock to tags and twine, I love it all!

Lynn created a birthday banner for a special "big kid" in her life who happens to have a birthday this week.  This project could easily be adapted for a younger child by using brighter colors and child-themed print.
Lynn Darda
Lynn used the following supplies from The Kraft Outlet.  Banner base was cut on the Cricut using Brown Kraft Coverweight Cardstock tied with Natural Twill Tying Tape.  Lynn stamped sentiments and stars on the back of #1079 Vintage Style Tickets.  Then she layered a stamped Small Kraft Shipping Tag, tied with Baker's Twine in Kraft and Blue atop some Mini-Reciepts Ephemera Labels.  You can visit Lynn's blog for a complete list of other supplies and to see a coordinating card.

Kraft Outlet DT Reveal for "Just for Kids" Challenge

Debbie Marcinkiewicz

For today's 'Just For Kids' challenge, Debbie began her design with a card stock base of Buff Ivory.  Next she layered some patterned papers and Lille Patterned Paper Tape onto a piece of Brown Kraft card stock, machine zig-zag stitching around the edges.  Debbie wrapped a piece of Black Twill Tying Tape around the top of the card, typing the end into a pretty bow.  Deb created a sweet little flag out of a Garnet Stick Pin, Flag Banner Numbers Stickers and a Tiny Bottle Cap ... she stuck the Flag Banner Numbers piece onto a snipett of Buff Ivory Card Stock so the backside wouldn't be sticky.  To finish the design, Deb created a mini banner using a couple pieces from the Black Banner Stickers and a red glittered punched heart shape.  Some Black Baker's Twine was wrapped around the bottom of the card and a sentiment tag was tied on.  Please visit Simple Treasures to view additional pictures of this card.
Dawn Burnworth
Dawn Burnworth created this owl treat bag for her son's birthday party. She used Tracy's tutorial on how to make a treat bag out of a A2 Lunch Bag Kraft Standard envelope. She used some punches and the Lunch Bag Kraft Cardstock paper to cut out all her shapes. She added some Orange Bakers Twine for a little embellishment. She also used some of The Kraft Outlet's Medium Cello bags to hold her treats.
Dorcas Perkins
Dorcas started her card with a base of  Brown Kraft Coverweight cardstock and layered it with a patchwork of decorative paper. The stamp was colored with pencils on Lunch Bag Kraft and then matted with  Buff Ivory Coverweight Cardstock and then layered again with  Brown Kraft Coverweight cardstock. The sentiment also was printed on Buff Ivory Coverweight Cardstock and then matted with  Brown Kraft Coverweight cardstock. The whole card was wrapped with Brown Bakers Twine and tied with a button.

Tracy MacDonald
Tracy created a fun birthday card using a cute little pig image from Bugaboo Stamps.  Her card base is Brown Kraft Cover Weight cardstock matted with Buff Ivory Cover Weight cardstock and designer paper.  She added a Buff Ivory punched border and some Dark Jewel Hemp Cord across the center of the card.  The image is popped up on a decorative mat cut from Brown Kraft and the sentiment is layered Buff and Brown cardstock.  For embellishments, Tracy used buttons tied with Hang Tag String.
