Watch Us Wednesday with Debbie Marcinkiewicz: Create a Pin cushion Button Jar

Debbie Marcinkiewicz
For this week's 'Needle and Thread' challenge, Debbie is going to share with us how to create this sweet little pin cushion button jar with coordinating baker's twine decorative spool!

The Kraft Outlet supplies:
Natural Twill Tape Ribbon
Antique Stick Pins
X-Small Grungy Prim Tags
Memo Pin
Brown Kraft Card Stock
Pink Baker's Twine

Other supplies:
small canning jar with lid and ring
wooden spool
piece of fabric
half of styrofoam ball
white spray paint
buttons
satin flowers
lace trim
Made With Love sentiment stamp

Add buttons to canning jar.  Spray paint the screw-on ring and when dry, glue lace trim around the edges.  Cut a styrofoam ball in half and glue to top of metal lid.  Cut a circle of fabric, lay over the top of styrofoam ball, slip metal ring over fabric and styrofoam ball, screw down until secure.  Tie a length of  Natural Twill Tape around the canning jar into a bow.   Wrap Pink Baker's Twine around spool; secure with safety pin; adhere a satin flower on the top of spool.

Stamp sentiment on X-Small Grungy Prim Tag and attach to Memo Pin.  Cut two leaves from Brown Kraft Card Stock, ink edges, attach to tag.  Glue satin flower on top of leaves and tie hang tag string into a bow.  Glue a button at the top of pin cushion; adhere a satin flower; add Stick Pins ... enjoy :)
