Kraft Outlet DT Reveal for "Something New" Challenge

The idea of having a "Something New" Challenge is always exciting to Design Team Member, Karen Letchworth because that means there's a perfect opportunity to go shopping at The Kraft Outlet for some new goodies.  Karen made this little Christmas card with some of her "new" items from The Kraft Outlet by starting with a Lunch Bag Kraft Plain Note Card and adding some Simple Stories patterned papers, stickers and embellishments. Then she added some buttons, glitter, lace, pearls, and  adorable Red Baker's Twine.  A small tag that was hand-cut from a scrap of  Brown Kraft Lunch Bag Cardstock hangs from the Red Baker's Twine.  Finally, Karen placed a small piece of the awesome new Music Washi Tape on the bottom of her card.  If you want to try "Something New", Karen suggests you check out the amazing variety of new washi tapes available at The Kraft Outlet.  You can read more about her card on her blog, My Cup Runneth Over.

 

Becky Garrison

For this week's 'Something New' theme, Becky Garrison decided to make a sweet card to celebrate a new baby girl!  The base of the card is made from Brown Kraft Cover Weight card stock which picked up the pink tones from the Raggedy Ann image.  The image itself came from Kraft Outlet's 'Between Prim Friends Volume 2' CD, printed using Picasa and 'fussy cut' to remove the background paper.  For the 'custom' Twill Tying Tape, Becky used some alpha stamps and black ink to stamp 'a girl' every couple of inches.  For more crafty inspiration you can visit Becky's blog.

Jan DelBone

What is new for Jan this coming year is a puppy belonging to her grandson !  His name is Patches.  This card will be sent to out of town relatives, showing off that rough tough guy.  Jan started her card with a Large Buff Ivory Notecard, and added some design paper, including paper from the Kraft and Black Cardstock Pad.  She wound some Earthy Hemp Cord around the card, and added a button and bow.  The pocket is actually a Library pocket, to which she adhered more paper from the Kraft and Black Cardstock Pad, and a saying and dots from the Pretoria-Fortunes rubbing package.  Jan made a tag from the Kraft and Black Cardstock Pad, added a picture of Patches, and another rubbing from the Pretoria-Fortunes rubbing package.  The tag was finished with Black Polka Dot Twill Ribbon and more Earthy Hemp Cord.  Stop by Jan's blog, chai tea 'n me, and say hello !!

Debbie Marcinkiewicz

For today's 'Something New' challenge, Debbie began with a base of white card stock onto which she layered hot pink card stock and Lunch Bag Kraft Card Stock - inking all edges and adding machine sewing.  Deb created a banner using Chipboard Banner Pieces and Black Banner Stickers onto which she stamped letters from the Alphas-Upper stamp set.  The Banners were 'strung' onto some Pink Baker's Twine and Tiny Wooden Clothespins were added to anchor the twine.  A paper doilie and hot pink snowflake were added to the middle of the card base.  Debbie stamped a little snowlady and sentiment from the *new* Snow Friends and *new* Let It Snow stamp sets from Paper Sweeties.  A length of White Twill Tape was added to the bottom corner along with a hot pink button, more Pink Baker's Twine and two silver jingle bells.  Please visit Debbie's blog, Simple Treasures, to view more pictures of today's card.
