Kraft Outlet DT Reveal for "Crimp or Fold" Challenge

Tammy Hobbs
For today's "Crimp or Fold challenge",  Tammy began with a base of Brown Cover Weight Cardstock which she layered and pieced together patterned papers from the Kraft and Black Cardstock pad.   She added a paper doily to the center of the card to give it a softer touch then layered a die-cut stamped framed sentiment to the center. Next she added her length of crochet trim across the lower third.  Tammy then die-cut three flowers from Brown Cover Weight Cardstock then ran them through her hand-held crimper to give the effect of corrugated cardboard. For a shabby look, white paint was added to the flowers. She wanted to add a touch of color, so a purple paper flower by Prima was added to the top layers of corrugated flowers embellishing the center with a pewter stick pin.  Lastly, a row of white paper hearts was added to top of the card for a finishing touch.  Please visit Tammy's blog, Creating Somewhere Under The Sun, to view more details and pictures of today's card.
Becky Garrison
Pennant banners, aka buntings, are so very popular these days, as are rosettes.  For today's 'Crimp or Fold' challenge, designer Becky Garrison decided to put both of those design elements together in one adorable home decor project.  This would be so cute for a baby or child's room, or even for a friend who is having a bad day!  She started with the Burlap Triangle that is 4 1/4" x 6 3/4" as her base.  Then, after choosing some cheery and bright ribbon she sewed large yellow buttons onto the triangle, through the ribbon, to hold them all secure.  The rosette was easy to make, but for large ones there is a trick!  Becky cut the paper into two (2) 3" x 12" strips of paper, and scored each one every 1/2" for the entire length.  Next she glued both ends together to form a circle, and added a scrap of card stock to the bottom and top to hold the rosette in place.  Once the glue was dry she adhered it to the pennant, added a paper doily, and a pretty chipboard butterfly that was painted with glittery paint.  You can find out more information about this project on Becky's blog "Becky Garrison Paper Crafts".

Karen Letchworth
This week's Crimp and Fold Challenge was super fun for  Design Team Member Karen Letchworth.  For the "Crimped" part of the challenge, Karen started with a piece of corrugated scrap cardboard hat she painted/distress inked and glittered.  Then, for the "Folded" part, she wanted to try the Tammy Hobbs Tutorial shared this week on the blog where she folded and crumpled up her flowers.  What a cool technique!  Thanks for sharing that with us, Tammy.  Lots of sweet little touches from The Kraft Outlet including the Tiny Clothes Pins and a Silver Bottle Cap painted cream and glittered, and of course that big shabby flower cut from Dictionary Pages.  You can read the entire supply list on Karen's blog.  What a super fun challenge!
