Kraft Outlet DT Reveal for "Layers" Challenge
For today's color challenge, Debbie began by cutting a pumpkin shaped base. Next she added a couple layers to create texture and volume - a white paper doilie, a patterned paper ruffle created using a piece of Kraft & Black Cardstock, a gorgeous piece of Damask Washi Tape and Burlap to create the pumpkin stem. Next Debbie added two Pewter Stick Pins and a Round Metal Edge Grungy Prim Tag onto which she stamped a sentiment. Last Debbie wrapped a length of Brights Hemp Cording around the pumpkin stem and adhered a pretty bloom. Please visit Debbie's blog to view additional photos of today's project!
For this week's Color Inspiration Challenge, Jessica made this beautiful Autumn Greetings card. She started out her card out with a piece of Light Kraft Cover Weight Cardstock and covered it with a layer of designer paper from Recollections~ Harvest Delight Paper Pack. Then using some burlap she had in her stash, she attached it to her card using a zig zag pattern stitch on her sewing machine. Next for the pumpkins Jessica brought out her Cottage Cuts Pumpkin Trio dies and die cut 2 of the different pumpkins using matching designer papers also from the Harvest Delight Paper Pack. For the leaves, she used another one of her favorite dies~ the Stitched Leaf Die from My Creative Time and some beautiful wool felt from her stash. To finish off her pumpkins, Jessica used matching brads from Recollections and some Earthy Hemp Cord.
Finally to complete her card she used a Tim Holtz Memo Pin, stuck it in between the pumpkins and through the burlap, die cut the tag using a piece of Light Kraft Cover Weight Cardstock and stamped the sentiment from My Creative Time~ Piles of Smiles stamp set.
For more details on her inspiration card, you can visit Jessica's blog~ Chick-n-Scrap.
She started with a Kraft Blank Note Card, then layered some deep red paper and a piece of Lunch Bag Kraft Card Stock stamped with a leaf and acorn themed background stamp. She wrapped the stamped panel with Natural Burlap Ribbon and made a bow before adhering to the red layer. Kristi then accented the burlap bow with some fall leaf die cuts,an 'Autumn' stamped tag, and a button threaded with red and green Dark Jewel Hemp Cording. The deer head die cut is the finishing touch and also the focal point. This masculine card would be great for that special man in your life with an Autumn birthday. This week at The Kraft Journal Challenge Blog, we have another super fun challenge for you, and it's an Autumn Color Challenge. Karen Letchworth really loved these rich colors that represent the cool weather, the falling leaves, and the changing seasons. She decided to make two items to share this week. The first project is a paper mache' pumpkin that she covered with a sheet of the adorable vintage Dictionary Pages. She added a Tim Holtz Journaling Ticket, some felt leaves, sentiment stickers, and a bow made from Kraft Wraphia Ribbon. The other little item is another wonderful gift-giving product from the Kraft Outlet; which is a Small Kraft Pillow Box. Again, Karen used a Tim Holtz Journaling Ticket which fit just perfectly for a rub-on sentiment and some embellishments including another Kraft Wraphia Ribbon bow, some Natural Hemp Cord, and some Green Baker's Twine. To see additional photos and read more about these little projects, please stop by Karen's Blog, My Cup Runneth Over to say hello. There are SO many great products at the Kraft Outlet for all your Autumn crafting projects, and we'd really love to have you pick up some new goodies and come join our amazing "Color Challenge" this week.
