Kraft Outlet DT Reveal for "Song/Book" Challenge

Jessica Esch

For this week's Inspired by a Song or a Book challenge, Jessica used one of her favorite books of all time as her inspiration~ Harry Potter and she had this cute stamp set in her stash that was just perfect for this challenge! She started her card by using a piece of Light Kraft Cover Weight Cardstock as her card base and then adding her layers of designer papers from Pebbles Tricks and Treats paper pack. Next Jessica stamped her image on some Buff Ivory Cover Weight Cardstock, and colored it using her copic markers. Then to embellish her card, Jessica added some Black Twill Tape, Earthy Hemp Cord and a fun witches hat charm.

Kristi Schurr
For this week's book or song challenge, Kristi let her sentiment stamp do the singing! She bought this stamp because it is the title of her favorite Beatle's song, All You Need Is Love. The song was released in July 1967, so Kristi gave her card a retro sixties feel through her choice in colors and patterns.

She began her card with a Lunch Bag Kraft stock card base. After mounting patterned paper strips on a smaller panel of Lunch Bag Kraft stock, it was then adhered o the card front with foam tape.
After stamping the sentiment on a Lunch Bag kraft banner, she added some black pom pom fringe to the bottom and adhered it to the card with foam dots. Krist then die cut a tag out of C-Flute Corrugated Kraft paper and added a tab from Hodge Podge Magpie Stickers to the side of the tag and mounted it with foam dots. She also added a black seam binding bow and a button strung with Natural Hemp Cord to the top of the tag. To finish off her card, Kristi also added a heart die cut from chalkboard style patterned paper, a die cut bird, wood veneer speech bubble, and finally, a felt flower. Tammy
For today's Inspired by a Song or Book challenge, Tammy has a little guy in the house..... as many with kids those kids songs get stuck in parents heads and grandparents too......soooo.....Tammy tells us a song that gets stuck in her head a lot is Disney's Yo Ho, Yo Ho, A Pirate's Life For Me! Making her inspiration today a pirate birthday card! Tammy started with Brown Kraft Cover Weight Card Stock onto which she added some patterned Treasure Map paper.  She created a banner and adhered to the center of the card face. She stamped, colored, and matted her pirate image to the middle of the card to create a focal point. Using Jenni Bowlin Chipboard Banner Pieces and coordinating Black Banner Stickers, she created a sentiment along the top to spell out ARG. She anchored the banner with Red Baker's Twine. She then cut out another banner to stamp the Happy Birthday sentiment in black ink out of Brown Kraft Cover Weight Card Stock and tucked underneath her treasure map image.

Karen Letchworth
Given the choice to choose between a Song or a Book, Karen will ALWAYS pick a song.  Music is a big part of her life, so this week's "Inspired By a Song or Book" Challenge was a fun one for her.  She chose the song, "You're The Inspiration" by Chicago.  Her card is made from a Buff Ivory Blank Notecard that she covered with a sheet of vintage sheet music and some patterned papers that she machine stitched together.  She placed a cute little Tim Holtz Journaling Ticket under her decorative chipboard.  Then she tied on some cream lace and lengths of Pastel Hemp Cord across the bottom, as well as tying a bow out of the same Pastel Hemp Cord in pink, blue and gold.  You're welcome to stop by Karen's Blog, My Cup Runneth Over to read a complete supply list and say hello.  Please check out all the wonderful goodies at The Kraft Outlet, and then come by to share in our challenge this week!
