Are you having trouble with an intricate or detailed die that just won't release from the die easily? Use a piece of wax paper between the paper and die and you'll be amazed at how easily the paper will release with no tears or rips!

Want your ribbon to lay flat and not slip around on the card front? Make sure you know where exact placement will be and use double sided tape/sticky strip adhesive where the ribbon will wrap around the card before you tie in a bow. Leave an open spot (no adhesive) where your bow will be so you can tie it off without it sticking. You can always go back and place a glue dot under your knot to keep it in place.

Any time you get a scrapbook order in the mail, save the cardboard stock they send to support the papers from bending. These cardboard sheets can be cut and used to create mini albums and other projects. You can also save the cardboard that comes in packages of men's undershirts and many other every-day items. Cardboard is cardboard, and it's ALL worth saving. It's great for reinforcing projects, or as a base for your mini albums. Just cut the cardboard into your desired size and shape, cover with patterned paper, and you're ready to go!
Another TIP: Save plastic containers when you buy ribbons, buttons, and other products. Repurposing is fun and easy, and super creative. Foo-Fa-La's Bag-O-Buttons make adorable gift holders for mini lotions, etc., and Tim Holtz products (such as the Tim Holtz Ruler Ribbon) have great containers for creating gifts. Here is a sample of the Tim Holtz Ruler Ribbon container filled with Tic-Tacs.

I am spying a lot on Pinterest, aren't you ? I made myself a board for great cards I see out there, and another for good sketches. Love having a spot where I can keep both, and takes up no room !
Next month our design team will return with more tips. Don't they have some fun ideas !!
