Kraft Outlet DT Reveal for "Color" Challenge
This week's color challenge has inspired Anitra to create a fun Easter card. Using one of her favorite items from The Kraft Journal, she started out with a "Lunch Bag Kraft Note Card". Next she matted some patterned paper onto the note card. She then added a piece of "Vintage Dictionary Page", which she cut using a decorative edge punch. To bring out the detail of the edge she matted it with some "Blackboard Stock Paper". Using some "Hand Stained Bias Tape in Mint Green" she added a bow along the text paper. The "Pink Baker's Twine" bow she added really brings out the shades of pink in the digital image. Another piece of "Blackboard Stock Paper" was matted behind the image to frame it up. For a little added detail she adhered a piece of "Music Washi Tape" that she punched with a decorative edge and tucked it under the image. To finish her card Anitra adhered a charming butterfly from the "Salvage Stickers-Crowded Attic" set, and for a little sparkle she added some bling to it's wings and a flourish. Color challenges are always a lot of fun because they allow everyone to interpret the inspiration in their own way. Karen enjoyed working with these fabulous colors, and chose to use polka dots to represent the bubbles in the inspiration photo. Her card began with a Large Lunch Bag Kraft Notecard, and to that, she attached some patterned papers to coordinate with the challenge colors. She machine stitched the edges, and inked everything. Next, she took a Mini Kraft Merchandise Bag and covered the bottom of that in patterned paper as well. She decorated it with a few Kraft Outlet goodies including a Tim Holtz Journaling Ticket, two Tim Holtz Adage Tickets, and into the little pocket she tucked a hand-made tag that was created using a combination of a Small Grungy Prim Tag and Lunch Bag Cardstock. It's tied with a length of Brown Baker's Twine. Next, she added a couple of sequins and mini pearl stickers, and then created a seam binding bow that also includes Brown Baker's Twine, a button, and Rose Petal Cupcake Hand-Stained Bias Tape.
