Challenge 165 - Inside and Out

Hi everyone and welcome to Kraft Outlet's Make It Monday. Thank you for joining in on the fun.

This weeks challenge is
INSIDE AND OUT

Use this week's theme to inspire you to create your project and then link it up at the bottom of this post before 6:00 p.m. (Central Time) on Sunday April 6th.  Remember your projects MUST include the use of Kraft cardstock and/or items that can be purchased at
Kraft Outlet! Please limit your weekly challenge entries to your TWO best creations and thank you for your participation!

Anitra has created a flip card for this week's "inside out" challenge.   She start with a "Lunch Bag Kraft Cover Weight Cardstock" base which she matted with some western themed patterned paper.  Using  a sewing machine she stitched around the patterned paper.  Anitra then created the "flip" element by die cutting a label shape into the card leaving the center uncut to allow for the label to flip.  Next she die cut a smaller label from "Buff Ivory Cover Weight Cardstock" which she distressed using a navy ink.  The sentiment was then adhered to the label and added some stars from the "Black Apothecary Sticker" sheet.   On the back side of the front label she stamped another sentiment onto "Buff Ivory Cover Weight Cardstock".  A large die cut image was added along with some blue buttons that are threaded with some "Earthy Hemp Cord".  For further details on how Anitra has created this card please stop her blog Stamping While They Sleep.

Tammy Hobbs

For this week's Inside Out Challenge, Tammy decided to make a 3D gift card box with easel card for Teacher Appreciation Week in just a little over a month. You can never start these projects too soon. She started by purchasing a file from the silhouette online store, but used a base of Brown Kraft Cover Weight Cardstock for the drawer and easel card component then covered with Patterned Paper as indicated by the cut patterned. Again, she used Brown Kraft Cover Weight Cardstock on the scallop rectangle you see on the easel card supported by a red brad. She created a banner at the top of the card which she hung using Red Baker's Twine. The sentiment was stamped and cut from Buff Ivory Cardstock and matted with red cardstock.  She created shreds for confetti in the drawer using more Brown Kraft Cover Weight Cardstock.  After she put together her box, she wrapped a little wraphia ribbon around it and tied a bow on top.   For additional pictures and a complete supply list, please visit Tammy at Creating Somewhere Under The Sun

Kristi Schurr

For this week's Inside And Out challenge, Kristi made a trendy birthday card featuring touches of gold. She began by making a card base from Brown Kraft Cover Weight Card Stock cut at approximately 4.25 by 5.5 inches. She layered a blue and pink polka dot paper over the card front. Kristi die cut a star out of the middle of a pink patterned paper panel and backed it with blue star patterned paper. She adhered the panel to the top two thirds of the card from using foam tape. She then added a star die cut from metallic gold to the center of the cutout. She then added some gold scalloped trim below the pink die cut panel. After stamping the sentiment on a die cut tag, Kristi used some coordinating twine from the Pastel  Hemp Twine  and the Dark Jewel Hemp Twine Packs, strung through the tag and wrapped around the bottom third of the card.
For the inside of her card, Kristi stamped a matching sentiment and a birthday sentiment in the middle and then decorated with coordinating die cut stars. For more information and a complete supply list, visit Kristi at her blog, Kristi's Paper Creations.
