Challenge #171 - Sketch

Hi all and welcome to the new Sketch Challenge here are the Kraft Journal!

A sketch is a blueprint for your layout, we love to see all the imaginative ways you interpret this design.  Take a look at what the design team came up with.

Tammy Hobbs
For this week's sketch challenge, Tammy went out of her comfort zone and created a masculine card. She found that it came together pretty easily with the great products at The Kraft Outlet. She used a base of Blackboard Stock Paper onto which she added a piece of solid patterned paper with distressed edges. Following the sketch closely, she added a fun print patterned paper. Next she stamped a frame and sentiment onto Buff Ivory Cardstock and cut it out with a coordinating die-cut. Final embellishing touches included using Lost & Found Salvage Stickers to add tickets and soda bottle tops to the card front.  For additional pictures and a complete supply list, please visit Tammy at Creating Somewhere Under The Sun.

Kristi Schurr
Kristi always enjoys a good sketch challenge and created this lovely birthday card in deep rich colors. She began by making a card base using Brown Kraft Cover Weight Card Stock cut at 4.25 by 5.5 inches (A2 size) She layered a red die cut panel according to the sketch, then added a patterned paper panel on top. She adhered a piece of Natural Burlap Ribbon across the bottom third of her card, then layered some green twine from the Dark Jewel Hemp Twine Pack. She added  a bow made from cream and red stitched ribbon on top of the hemp bow. After stamping her flower wreath and sentiment, Kristi die cut it in a label shaped and adhered it to the middle left of the card, following the sketch. Three green enamel dots finish off the right side of the card. For more information and a complete supply list, visit Kristi at her blog, Kristi's Paper Creations.
Anitra Tovar

Anitra enjoys a good sketch challenge, and has created this card with a Buff Ivory cardstock for her base.  She then matted some patterned paper.  Next following the sketch she matted a piece of coral colored patterned paper.  She edge punched her border and distressed it using a Distress Marker in Old Paper.  She then used some of her favorite embellishment Hand Stained Bias Tape in Aqua Mist! She tied a simple bow and adhered a flower to the center.  For her sentiment she used one of the labels from the White Pearlized Decorative Labels.  These labels make it so easy to stamp a sentiment on.  They have an embossed edge to them making any project look finished!  To finish her card she added some stickers from the Salvage Sticker pack Crowded Attic.  For more information on Anitra's project please visit her blog Stamping While They Sleep.

Join the challenge and show off a little, blow your own horn, Toot, Toot!
