Karen was excited to use her punches for this week's challenge. She started with a Small Lunch Bag Kraft Note Card and attached a piece of floral patterned paper which she machine stitched. She used a scrap of coordinating Lunch Bag Brown Coverweight Card Stock for her sentiment journaling area onto which she stamped a scripture sentiment. Next, she took a small hole punch and punched holes to thread through some Natural Hemp Cord and created a bow. She again used her small hole punch to do the same thing to create and X at the top. Karen used another scrap of Lunch Bag Brown Coverweight Card Stock as well as a piece of Canvas to punch out hearts which she layered. She added a wooden button to the heart layers, and again tied a bow using the Natural Hemp Cord. Karen would love to see what you create using your punches, and she invites you to visit her blog, My Cup Runneth Over for more inspiration.
Tammy loved breaking out her neglected punches for this challenges. She started with a card base made from Brown Kraft Cover Weight cardstock which she stamped a medallion image using kraft ink directly to the cardstock base. She then used Kraft Text Weight paper and a few punches to create the flower. Tammy spritzed them with Mister Huey's Pinstripe Mist and scrunched and rumbled them to give them a distressed look. Next she punched a hole in the center adding a brad to the middle. Before adding the flower embellishment to the card front, she punched a border from patterned paper and added it to the center of the card. Tammy then wrapped a length of Vintage Winter White Bias Tape around the card front and tied in a bow adding a flower and Memo pin for further embellishing. Lastly, she punched a bird from colored cardstock and the wing from Brown Kraft Cover Weight cardstock and mounted with foam adhesive to give it some dimension. Anitra used different corner punches for this week's challenge. Starting out with one of her favorite products from the Kraft Outlet, Anitra used a Lunch Bag Kraft cardstock for her base. She lightly distressed it using some black ink to create a more vintage look. Next she created her own patterned paper using some Buff Ivory cardstock, to which she stamped music notes on. Using some patterned paper she added a bold patterned piece matted with some rust colored cardstock that was punched with a rounded corner punch. To her focal image she used a ticket punch for the corners and matted using some Blackboard stock paper. Next she used some black bakers twine to tie a multi looped bow and added a vintage button to the center. For her sentiment she stamped onto a Vintage Black Journaling card that she punched with a fancy window punch, which was matted onto some more of the Blackboard speciality paper. A tiny Black Wooden Clothespin holds the sentiment to the card. With a scrap piece of Blackboard Stock paper she had left over on she used an edge punched to create a small embellishment to tuck behind the bold patterned paper piece.
