Make It Monday Challenge 208 - CAS Made In Minutes

Hi all, and welcome to Make It Monday at the Kraft Journal.
Every Monday we have a new Design Challenge and we hope you grab some inspiration and join in!

This weeks challenge is : CAS Made In Minutes

Sometimes you just need something special but just don't have a lot of time to spend making it. Show us a Clean And Simple project that can be made in just a few minutes, maybe your "go to" layout or a super cute stamp. Whatever you come up with, and make it snappy!

Marsha Drain
Clean and Simple, Quick and Easy.  Those are Marsha's favorite words when it comes to making cards.  She actually timed herself making this card and it took less than 10 minutes after getting the supplies out and ready to use.  She started with Light Kraft Cardstock for the base.  The patterned paper and cardstock backing are just pieces from her stash.  She wrapped some Pink Baker's Twine
(one of the 10 great colors at the Kraft Outlet)  around that panel, leaving enough twine to thread through a button which was cut out with a die.  The word "thanks" was cut out twice with two different blues and presto! a lovely, yet quick card.  For more details, please visit her blog - Grammas Room.

Tammy Hobbs
For the Made in Minutes Challenge this week, Tammy wanted to show how it was easy to put her card together so quickly by sharing a quick snap shot of some of her supplies before she put her card together.  She wanted to share that when she has extra die-cuts either from changing her mind on a design or taking that die and cutting up snippets to use up scraps. She just puts them in the pouch that holds the die set.  It sure come in handy for today's challenge.

She started with a base of Brown Kraft Cardstock onto which she matted Buff Ivory cardstock that was already cut to size. She cut the scrap of stripe patterned paper she had in her stash in half and added it to the left side of the card front. She then took a length of Orange Baker's Twine and wrapped it vertically around the card and tied it in a bow. Next Tammy took out two of the star die-cuts and layered them adding a cute stamped face to the center adding a few coloring details to the face. Lastly, she stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment onto the Buff Ivory cardstock in black ink.  For additional pictures and details please visit Tammy's blog: Creating Somewhere Under the Sun.

For this week's "Made In Minutes" Challenge, Design Team Member, Karen Letchworth wanted to create something that really and truly WAS created in just minutes.  In fact, Karen even set a stop watch to ensure that she wasn't exaggerating.  These tags took her 3 minutes and 36 seconds.  The only "cheats" to that time were the that she had hand-stained her Tiny Wooden Clothespins ahead of time.  You can see this tutorial on Hand-Stained Wooden Clothespins by following that link.  Also, she had a few small scrap pieces of die-cut wool felt sitting on her craft table left over from another project.  But other than that, she put everything together in just a few literal minutes.

She created quick and easy gift tags for Valentine's Day; one for each of her three children.  Each tag was made using a Small Grungy Prim Shipping Tag.  Karen added a Round Metal-Edged Grungy Prim Tag to each of the three Small Grungy Prim Shipping Tags by adhering them with Decorative Washi Tape.  One uses the Red and White Polka Dot Washi Tape, another uses the Pink & White Polka Dot Washi Tape and the third uses the sweet Pink & White Striped Washi Tape.  Each has something in the center.  One has a leaf and flower, another has some felt pieces, and the third has a Jenni Bowlin Flatback Icon.  Karen attached the tags to little boxes of Valentine's Day candy.

There is nothing fancy about these little gift tags.  It was more of an experiment to show that you really can use the Kraft Outlet's amazing products to quickly create all kinds of useful crafts such as gift tags, gift bags, cards, and SO much more.  For a closer look at her gift tags, Karen invites you to stop by her blog, My Cup Runneth Over, to take a closer look and to view additional photos.  Happy crafting!

Use this week's theme to inspire you to create your project and then link it up at the bottom of this post before 6:00pm (Central Time) on Sunday. Please limit your entries two per challenge.
