Make It Monday Challenge #217 Color - Spring Flowers

Hi there and welcome  to The Kraft Journal Challenge #217 -
Color Challenge - Spring Flowers

Here is South Texas the trees have started budding out and the azaleas have burst into bloom!  I hope you have the first signs of Spring around your house.  With such a long hard Winter we need the beautiful colors of Spring flowers for this weeks inspiration.

Tammy Hobbs
For this week's "Color challenge", Tammy created an Easter card starting with a base of Brown Kraft Cardstock onto which Tammy added patterned paper inspired by the spring color board for the challenge. She then wrapped a length of Hand Stained Bias Tape around the card front and tied off in a fluffy bow adding a lavender button laced with Lavender Pastel Hemp Cord.  A row of pastel buttons were added to the bottom which she also laced with Lavender Pastel Hemp Cord before adhering them.   Using some Easter die-cuts she created a little scene for the focal image. Lastly, she added some sequins for a little further embellishing. For additional pictures and product information, please be sure to stop by Tammy's blog: Creating Somewhere Under The Sun.

Karen Letchworth
In the past, Karen Letchworth would stress out over color challenges.  She used to feel like she needed to include all the colors in some intricate way on her project.  It took time, but she finally learned to enjoy color challenges by learning to take what inspires you or speaks to your own personal sense of style, and leave the rest. The idea is to HAVE FUN!  For her card for this week's Color Challenge, Karen started with a Brown Kraft Notecard and to that she added a base cut from Light Kraft Cover Weight Cardstock and adhered that to the front of the Brown Kraft Notecard.  Once that base was set, she used a square punch to make squares from purple, yellow and green patterned paper that she inked on their edges.  She spaced them apart (somewhat) evenly, attached a rub-on sentiment to a scrap of Light Kraft Cover Weight Cardstock using her Bone Folder Tool.  She added a few coordinating buttons here and there, and tied either Light Green Baker's Twine or Natural Hemp Cord to the center of each one.  You're invited to visit Karen's Blog, My Cup Runneth Over to take a closer look, and Karen really hopes you'll play along in this week's challenge.

Marsha Drain
This card is a little out of the ordinary from Marsha usually makes because for this card she did not use any stamps, digital images, or sentiments.  Only card stock.  After cutting out the flowers with her Sihouette and the leaves with a die cut, she adhered them to Buff Ivory card stock and then added a beautiful bow made from Hand Stained Butter Bias Tape.  For more details about her card, visit her blog Gramma's Room.

Use this week's theme to inspire you to create your project and then link it up at the bottom of this post before 6:00pm (Central Time) on Sunday.
Please limit your entries two per challenge, others will be deleted.
