Make It Monday - St. Patrick's Day!

On March 17th everyone is Irish!

So we thought we would give you three wonderful examples using the
Challenge #213 theme - St. Patrick's Day!

Marsha Drain
Marsha makes only one St. Patrick's Day card a year and that is for a daughter whose favorite day is St. Patty's Day.  For this card Marsha used a Grungy Stained Tag on which she stamped a sentiment and added a bit of color.  At the top of the tag, she used the original string plus two shades of green cord from the Dark Jewel Hemp Cord and the Bright Hemp Cord collections.  The main panel is Buff Ivory.  Now you need to head over to her blog, Gramma's Room,  to see the inside of the card.  It is a continuation of the sentiment on the front and she used a Small Glassine Bag to hold a gift card.  Fun idea for her daughter.  Do you make St. Patrick Day cards. Marsha and the rest of the team would love to see them, just enter your St. Patrick's Day card in the challenge and don't forget to use Kraft or some other product from the Kraft Outlet Store

Tammy Hobbs
For this week's "St. Patrick's" Theme challenge, Tammy created a card with a vintage touch. She started with a base of Brown Kraft cardstock onto which she added a layer of Vintage Dictionary Pages and a strip of patterned paper from her stash. She die-cut a scallop border from a shimmery green textured cardstock and added that where the paper met. She then wrapped a length of Spring Green Hemp Cord from the Bright Hemp Cord collection around the card several times for added texture. Tammy printed a vintage image onto Buff Ivory cardstock and cut it out and placed it onto a kraft pocket.  A paper rosette was created from the same shimmery green textured cardstock as the scallop border and she die-cut a scallop circle from Buff Ivory cardstock adding to the center. Next she created a Happy St. Patrick's sentiment banner from Brown Kraft cardstock adding another layer to the rosette. Next she created a bow from Aqua Mist Seam Binding adding an embellishment to the center. Lastly, she then layered her embellished bow onto two silk leaves. Please be sure to stop by Tammy's blog: Creating Somewhere Under The Sun for further product information and additional pictures.

For this week's St. Patrick's Day Challenge, DT Member Karen Letchworth used some vintage St. Patrick's Day images that she "googled" and found on the internet for free.  She printed the images onto Buff Ivory Cover Weight Cardstock and cut them out.  She used a Small Buff Ivory Note Card for her base, and attached patterned paper and the images, and inked them; she then placed a green glittered Tiny Wooden Clothespin on one of the images.  Next, Karen added a big bow made from Vintage Winter White Hand-Stained Bias Tape and Green Baker's Twine.  She attached a vintage green button in the center of her bow.  Pretty simple!
Karen hopes that you will grab some fun Kraft Outlet supplies, and come play along in this week's St. Patrick's Day Challenge with us.  For more information on Karen's project, you're welcome to visit her blog, My Cup Runneth Over.

Use this week's theme to inspire you to create your project and then link it up at the bottom of this post before 6:00pm (Central Time) on Sunday.
Please limit your entries two per challenge, others will be deleted.

  1. I thought the rule use to be that you could use any Kraft product (did not have to be sold at KJ store) or any item sold at KJ store. When did the rule change to only allowing an item KJ store sells? Please answer here & I'll ck back.
