Take Your Pick Challenge #214

Welcome friends to Challenge #214 - Take Your Pick here at the Kraft Journal.

We love these challenges because you give everyone the same items to choose from and you get a diverse assortment of cards.  We love to see your creativity at work!

Here's how it works: select at least three things from the chart below and use them to make your card this week. Easy! Come on your know you're up for the challenge!
Take a look at the clever cards made by our talented design team!
Tammy Hobbs
Tammy was happy to see the Take Your Pick challenge could be used easily to make an Easter Card.  She used (1) Button, (4) Die-Cuts, Yellow, and White. She started with a card base of Brown Kraft Cover Weight cardstock onto which she added her Yellow patterned-paper which she cut using a rectangle die-cut frame.  In the center, she punched a border from white cardstock. She then took a length of Blush Hand Stained Bias Tape and wrapped it around the card front and finished it off with a fluffy bow. She die-cut a tag for her sentiment and anchored it with a button laced with Light Blue Hemp Cord.  She die-cut a lacy oval from pink cardstock as a backdrop for her Easter Chick which she added to the card front. Lastly, she added a few pastel rhinestone gems for a decorative touch. For further pictures and product details, please visit Tammy's blog: Creating Somewhere Under The Sun

Marsha Drain
It is hard to pick just three elements from the list so Marsha ended up with five.  She started with Buff Ivory Text Weight and ran it through the Cuttlebug with a Swiss Dot embossing folder.  Then using the direct to paper technique, she rubbed the ink pad over the raised dots and sponged more of the yellow ink on the edges.  She used some of her favorite olive green twine from the BrightHemp Cord collection to sew on the button and used three strands where the two papers join.   Green, yellow, white, button, die cut.  What three or more items will you use in this week's challenge.  We would love to see an entry by you.  For more details about her card, visit Marsha's blog, Gramma's Room

Our Design Team Member, Karen Letchworth, really enjoys showcasing some of the lesser-known (yet FABULOUS) products from the Kraft Outlet.  So this week, she chose to create something centered around an ADORABLE Cotton Drawstring Bag.  Even Karen can't believe that these sweet little bags cost JUST $0.35 each.  What a bargain!  They make an adorable gift, and can be used as a keepsake bag.  Karen picked more than just three items from the challenge list for her project.  In fact, she managed to incorporate a bunny, yellow, white, green, a die-cut, and a button.  She die-cut her bunny and some flowers from wool felt, and also added a rub-on sentiment using her Bone Folder Tool that's adhered to a Round Metal-Edged Grungy Prim Tag. She also used a Grungy Prim Shipping Tag to die-cut a second hang tag with yet another rub-on sentiment, again applied using her Bone Folder Tool.  The bunny's whiskers were made from pieces of Natural Hemp Cord, and the background behind the scene is a piece of Burlap.  There's also a lovely bow made from Pink Blush Bias Tape and Light Green Baker's Twine.
The Kraft Outlet has MANY wonderful and inspiring products, and Karen would like to encourage you to do some browsing to find yourself something new.  You're also welcome to share in this week's "Take Your Pick" Challenge for a chance to win.  You're invited to stop by Karen's Blog, My Cup Runneth Over, for additional pictures  of her project, as well as a detailed supply list.  Happy crafting!

Use this week's theme to inspire you to create your project and then link it up at the bottom
of this post before 6:00pm (Central Time) on Sunday.
Please limit your entries two per challenge, others will be deleted.
