Take Your Pick Challenge #223

Don't you just love a grab bag?  I loved them as a kid, you never knew what you were going to get. It teaches you that not everything is as it seems, but sometimes you just have to take a risk.

It's your turn to take a risk and show us what you can do with this weeks challenge.  Here are the wonderful cards the design team came up with this week on Challenge #223 - Take Your Pick!

Tammy Hobbs
For this week's Take Your Pick challenge, Tammy choose to use buttons, seam binding, and mint.  Tammy started with a base of Brown Kraft Coverweight cardstock where she added two pieces of patterned paper to that base. A doily was added to the center adding some vintage ticket embellishments. A Butter Seam Binding fussy bow was created and further embellished with a button laced with Natural Hemp Cord.  Lastly a row of buttons also laced with Natural Hemp Twine was added at the bottom adding a mint crochet flower to the middle. For additional pictures, please visit Tammy's Blog: Creating Somewhere Under The Sun.

Design Team Member, Karen Letchworth always LOVES the Pick 3 Challenges, and this week's challenge is no exception.  With all the gorgeous choices, you simply can't go wrong.  Karen once again incorporated far more than just three of the items on the "Pick 3" list.  She chose to use Buttons, a Tag, Seam Binding, Feminine, Mint Green and Pink on her project.  She started with a Small Lunch Bag Kraft Note Card, and to that she attached some patterned paper, half a vintage cream doily, and a Grungy Prim Shipping Tag.  On her tag, she added some rub-on sentiments and buttons; and to the top of her tag she added a bow made from Brown Baker's Twine and Oatmeal Cream Seam Binding.   As a tiny little extra touch, she clipped an ink-stained Tiny Wooden Clothespin in the upper right corner.  You're invited to visit Karen's Blog, My Cup Runneth Over, to say hello and take a closer look.  Have fun playing along!

Marsha Drain
Marsha loves the big Grungy Prim tags at the Kraft Outlet so she made that and the big flower the focal points on the card.  The big flower is colored with Copic and then she used a yellow button for the center.  The yellow twine wrapped around the tag is from the Pastel Hemp collection.  The card base is Light Kraft cardstock.   Marsha's 3 picks from the list were button, seam binding, and a stamped tag.  For more details, visit her blog Gramma's Room
