Father's Day Challenge #226

For this weeks Challenge #226 we have the theme Father's Day.

We all have someone who has been a strong male force in our lives. In today's blended family world there are many men who help mold us into what we are, so now is the perfect time to tell them what they mean to you.

Happy Father's Day to dads everywhere!

Marsha Drain

Marsha made a fun Father's Day card for her golf lovin' husband.  She stared with Brown Kraft for the card base and used it to frame the panel with the digital image of the golf bag.  The computer generated sentiment is tucked in the Metal Label Holder which is then attached to the card with brads and Baker's Twine.   For more details, visit her blog, Gramma's Room.

Karen Letchworth
For this week's Father's Day Challenge, DT Member, Karen Letchworth made a very simple card using a Small Lunch Bag Kraft Note Card as her base.  To that, she added a piece of patterned paper that she machine stitched.  Since Karen knew she wanted to include a gift card with this Father's Day card, she placed a Mini Kraft Merchandise Bag on top that is wrapped with a long length of Green Baker's Twine.  The gift card is held in place with an ink-stained Tiny Wooden Clothespin, and she also included a small piece of Decorative Washi Tape on her card.  For additional photos and a complete supply list, you're invited to visit Karen's Blog, My Cup Runneth Over.

Tammy Hobbs

For this week's Father's Day challenge, Tammy went vintage.  She started with a base of Brown Kraft Cover Weight Cardstock adding a Vintage Dictionary Page to the top portion of the card.  She punched a border from patterned paper to add to the top of the card. Using Buff Ivory Cardstock she die-cut a scalloped rectangle to frame her focal image that was stamped on Brown Kraft Cover Weight Cardstock that she colored in with pastels. Before adding to the card front, Tammy added a length of Natural Burlap Ribbon where the Vintage Dictionary Page ended.  Lastly a sentiment was added to the lower right corner and a few pearls to the left.
