Autumn Challenge #240

Happy Labor Day!
Thanks for stopping by the Kraft Journal. This is the first full week in September and I'm ready for Fall!  We want to welcome Design Team member Karen back from her summer off and what better way than starting with  todays Challenge #240 - Autumn.

Karen Letchworth
This week as we celebrate Autumn at The Kraft Journal, Design Team Member, Karen Letchworth is super excited to be back from her Summer break.  She created a sweet little card for this Autumn challenge by using a Small Lunch Bag Kraft Note Card and adhering a journaling card from the Jenni Bowlin Vintage Mini Deck Basics pack.  To that, she added a die-cut tree, and then added an Autumn sentiment that is tied with a length of Natural Hemp Cord that's secured with an ink-stained Tiny Wooden Clothespin.  Karen also added a piece of Black With White Polka Dot Washi Tape to her card to give it a special touch.  The Kraft Outlet has so many sweet little embellishments to help give your cards a little touch of personality.  Why not grab something new, and come play along in this week's Autumn Challenge?   Karen also invites you to visit her personal blog, My Cup Runneth Over, to say hello and take a closer look at her card.  Happy crafting!

Tammy Hobbs
For today's Autumn challenge, Tammy found that using a piece of designer paper she had was a perfect starting point and added it to a card base of Brown Kraft Cover Weight Cardstock.  Next she added a doily to the center for her main focal image. She die-cut a pumpkin and leaf from Kraft Text Weight Paper which she stamped to coordinate.  At the top of her focal point, she tied a bow with brown and white Baker's Twine and embellished with an orange button. She stamped her sentiment in the upper right top corner. On the left side, two banners were cut from paper that coordinates with the main patterned paper used. Tammy took a piece of patterned paper to cover a Chipboard Flag Piece to add to the top of the other two banner pieces. Lastly, she added a variety of flowers in a cluster and a fall leaf to the lower left corner embellishing further with a brown satin bow and a sunflower. For additional pictures and information, please visit Tammy's blog: Creating Somewhere Under The Sun.

Marsha Drain
Marsha loves to use the Kraft papers for Autumn cards and for this cards she used Brown Kraft Cardstock for the base.  School books, leaves, and earth colors all speak of Autumn and tying in all the colors, she used 4 colors of the Baker's Twine.  For more details, please visit her blog - Gramma's Room.
