Challenge #243 - CAS Baby

Babies! Aren't they the cutest things ever?

I guess I have babies on the brain because I have my second grandbaby about to arrive in November.  This time we have a girl coming and we are very excited.  We have had a baby boy explosion in our extended family and there are 4 boys in 4 years, so a girl is going to be a welcome change.

This weeks Challenge #243 - CAS Baby is something I am excited to see.  Take a look at the wonderful examples our Design Team has to offer.

Tammy Hobbs
Tammy doesn't get a chance to make too many baby cards these days, so she enjoyed this week's challenge "CAS - Baby" She will always admit that keeping it CAS is tough for her, but this card didn't take her anytime to put together. She started with a card base of Brown Kraft Coverweight onto which she added her patterned paper. Next she took a length of Yellow Baker's Twine and wrapped it around the card front several times just above the patterned paper. She took a Small Manila Shipping Tag and stamped a background of hearts in a light green ink. She stamped a cute giraffe using Buff Ivory Cardstock, colored him with copics, followed by fussy cutting and mounting him with foam adhesive to the center of the shipping tag. Next she took a length of pink satin ribbon and wrapped it around tying a fussy bow just to the top of the shipping tag adding a button laced with Natural Hemp Cord. The Baby sentiment was stamped in black ink directly to the card base. For a finishing touch, she added three pink dew drops. Karen Letchworth
For this week's Baby Challenge, DT Member Karen Letchworth decided to use some fun baby images to help keep her card simple.  She started her card with a Small Ivory/Buff Note Card and added a layer of Buff Ivory Cover Weight Card Stock,  She then layered on her images.  Once everything was in place, she embellished her card with Rose Beige Seam BindingDove Grey Seam BindingNatural Hemp Cord and Green Baker's Twine.  The finishing touch was a Tim Holtz Memo Pin,  There are LOTS of great supplies at the Kraft Outlet to help you get started on your card for this week.  You're also invited to visit Karen's Blog, My Cup Runneth Over, to say hello and take a closer look.  We look forward to seeing your sweet Baby Challenge Creations!

Marsha Drain
With this pre-colored digital image of these cute baby shoes, Marsha kept the blue and Kraft theme.  The card base is Warm Brown Kraft cardstock .  She cut the scalloped circle from the front of the cardstock, then cut the blue congratulations paper a size larger.  The twine through the button is Natural Earthy Hemp. CAS, yes, very easy and simple. For more details, please visit Marsha's blog, Gramma's Room.
