Challenge #246 - Any Thing Goes Scarecrow

Welcome to this weeks Kraft Journal Challenge #246 - Any Thing Goes Scarecrow

Don't you think that scarecrows are the cutest things for fall?  I have one in my front yard, he welcomes all from September until November.  So with such a variety of scarecrows let's see what the design team has done with this special guy.

Tammy Hobbs
Tammy had the perfect image in her fall stash for this week's Scarecrow challenge. She began her card with a card base of Brown Kraft Cardstock onto which she pieced together some fall papers she had in her stash. She took a length of crochet trim and added that to the top of the papers. She stamped her Happy in brown ink to the upper left corner. She took a length of Ivory Bias Tape vertically around the right side of the card front tying off in a bow embellishing with a fall leaf button laced with Hemp Cord which was also used to attached the Round Metal Edge Grungy Tag.  Using Brown Kraft Cardstock, she die-cut a scallop rectangle to frame her scarecrow image and added to the card for completion. For additional pictures and information, please visit Tammy's Blog: Creating Somewhere Under The Sun.

Marsha Drain
This scarecrow is not very scary.  Marsha tried to help him out with a BOO sticker from the Tim Holz Seasonal Salvage Sticker collection but I don't think it helped, he is just too sweet to scare that little bird.  Marsha used her favorite Kraft cardstock, the Warm Brown Kraft, for the card base.  She also used it for the fence which she cut out with a die.  The front of the card is Buff Ivory Text paper which she added a subtle brown edge. Then came all the layers of die cut embellishment, the grass, the moon, the pumpkins and the scarecrow.  For more details about her card, please visit her blog, Gramma's Room.

Karen Letchworth
Karen Letchworth was initially stumped on this week's Scarecrow Challenge since she doesn't have any scarecrow stamps or stickers.  But that didn't stop her, and it shouldn't stop you either!  Karen simply googled the words "cute scarecrow images", and she instantly had oodles of images from which to choose.  Once she had her image selected, she printed it off onto a piece of Buff/Ivory Cover Weight Card Stock and fussy cut it.  Then, she took a Small Buff/Ivory Note Card and attached some patterned papers to it that she had machine stitched together.  She stamped her sentiment onto a small sticker that comes from the Jenni Bowlin Memo Note Book (and by the way, there are SO many cute pages in there).  She attached an ink-stained Tiny Wooden Clothes Pin to the sentiment, and embellished the card with a Natural Hemp Cord bow with a brown button in its center that has some Orange Baker's Twine tied in it.  Karen would love to have you visit her blog, My Cup Runneth Over, and she hopes you will play along in this week's Scarecrow Challenge with us.
