Kraft Outlet Guest Designer for October

This month we'll also be featuring work from our Guest Designer, Angi Barrs of  Angi and Cokie Designs blog. We're excited to have Angi join us to design projects we know will inspire you, using Kraft cardstock and other products available at Kraft Outlet. Today we'll introduce Angi to you and then on our weekly Thursday Trigger posts we'll reveal her creations through the end of October! So be sure to stop back in again on Thursday for this week's challenge Trigger from Angi Barrs.

Hello fellow crafters. My name is Angi Barrs and I  live in "Terrific Texas". I wear many hats in my family. Besides crafting, I am a mom of 2 wonderful daughters, I teach Junior High School, and I am a big supporter of Autism Awareness programs. I am also a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Oohrah! I make a variety of crafts from cards, to layouts, to altered projects. One of my faves is kraft. It's a beautiful natural material that goes great with any type of project.  I'm also a HUGE Fan of recycling and kraft is a great resource to use for this as well. I'm so excited to be here at The Kraft Journal. I'm a big fan of the blog and storeYou can also check me out at my blog.

Kraft Outlet Design Team Reveal for "Spooky Stuff"

Audrey Pettit
For her Spooky Stuff project, Audrey created a grinning Jack O'Lantern card. The base of the card is made from Buff Ivory Coverweight Cardstock and is layered with lots of spooky patterned papers and Lunch Bag Kraft Cardstock. Audrey tucked a Halloween Mini Bingo Card and a Scalloped Grungy Prim Tag into a Small Glassine Bag, and embellished the card with a felt pumpkin, buttons and bells, trim, and Hobgoblin Tissue Tape. For a fun trick with the Jack O'Lantern, Audrey added a X-Small Grungy Prim Tag behind the pumpkin, and used the string from the tag to add a simple bow beneath.

Kim Duran
For our "Spooky Stuff" challenge, Kim machine stitched patterned paper onto orange cardstock, then adhered to Light Kraft Cardstock from The Kraft Outlet. She then used a vintage Halloween greeting card matted onto Lunch Bag Kraft Cardstock and added layers of seam binding ribbons and a vintage amber glass button to embellish her "spooky" creation.

Jennifer Cuthbertson
Jennifer loved this week's "Spooky Stuff" challenge and made this card featuring a light kraft card base, a distressed vampire blood label stamped onto buff ivory cardstock over some patterned papers. She finished the card with some seam binding and a fun cameo. Head over to her blog for more information!
