Kraft Outlet Guest Designer Shellye McDaniel

My name is Shellye McDaniel from NE Texas.  I've been married for 20 years and recently celebrated my 40th birthday!  I have three really great kids: Tyler (17), Zachry (13) and Sydnee (9).  I work part-time as a Labor & Delivery nurse.   I've been pretty 'crafty' most of my life and started scrapbooking about 14 years ago.  I enjoy creating custom projects for my Etsy shop, as well as cards and scrapbook pages for my family. My other hobbies include: knitting, baking, reading and perusing crafty blogs.  I am currently on the Your Scrapbook Stash Design Team and the Paper Issues and I Heart Ippity (Unity Stamps) Creative Teams!  My blog is The Papered Cottage.
You'll see all of Shellye's projects this month on the Thursday Trigger segment of our blog, so be sure to stop back in on Thursday March 15 for more "Luck o' the Irish" challenge inspiration.

Kraft Outlet DT Reveal for "Luck o' the Irish" Challenge

Tracy MacDonald

Tracy started her card with a base of Brown Kraft cardstock.  She then added mats of green and Buff Ivory cardstock as well as some designer papers.  Her image was colored with Prismacolor pencils on a Large Shipping Tag.  She added a tag pull of 7 Gypsies Savannah seam binding with a button tied on with Hang Tag String.

Debbie Carriere created a giant shamrock out of green felt heart die cuts for this week's "Luck o' the Irish" challenge.  To a base of Brown Kraft cover weight cardstock, she stitched a piece of Bingo patterned paper.  She glued her "shamrock" and stem in place and added a wooden button tied with Dark Green Baker's Twine to the center.  She added wooden buttons threaded with twine to the bottom of the card and a sentiment stamped on a ticket die cut from Brown Kraft cardstock.  Behind the sentiment ticket, Debbie tucked in a second ticket made from Light Kraft cover weight cardstock.  Be sure to visit her blog for more details.
Debbie Marcinkiewicz
For today's 'Luck o' the Irish' card, Debbie started with a base of Lunch Bag Kraft Cardstock which she lightly inked the edges with cream paint to create a time-worn look.  On top of that, Deb machine sewed some pretty sheet music patterned paper and added a paper doilie and a pretty Lunch Bag Kraft Cardstock paper ruffle.  Next, a snipett of Ivory Twill  Tying Tape was tied around the center of the card.  A pretty paper blossom was adhered to the card base and a Lunch Bag Kraft Cardstock die cut butterfly was added.  Last, a sentiment was stamped in green on an X-Small Grungy Prim Tag and tied around the paper blossom.  For additional pictures, please visit Simple Treasures.

  1. Wonderful St. Patrick's Day creations. Like the idea of the future challenges listed so one can prepare one ahead of time especially when then weather is cold & cloudy like it was for the most part here in Central TX this weekend which lends itself to more crafting time indoors.
