Kraft Outlet DT Reveal for "Color" Challenge

Kristi Schurr

For this week's color challenge, Kristi made the most of the Fall color palette. She started with a Brown Kraft Cardstock base. She layered on a panel of patterned paper with a leaf theme. She used another panel of Vintage Dictionary paper, matted in dark brown, and adhered it to the center of the card front. Kristi then die cut a large maple leaf out of brown card stock, used her stylus to shape the leaf, then sprayed it with various shimmer inks for a soft metallic look. After adhering the leaf, she made a bow from Natural Hemp Cording, burgundy satin ribbon, and red cord from the Dark Jewel Hemp Cord pack. She used hot glue to secure the bows to the base of the leaf, then used a sparkly button in the center. Kristi appled the rub on sentiment to a piece of cream patterned paper, fishtailed the end to make a banner, then adhered it to the bottom front as shown. Jessica Esch

For this week's Color Challenge, Jessica made a Christmas card using the browns, green and red featured in the inspiration picture. She started her card out with a Brown Kraft Cover weight Card Stock and then added a layer of green cardstock and designer paper from Lilybee Design~Jingle Mistletoe. Next using her sewing machine she added a stitched border around the mats. To add some texture and following a sketch she used for inspiration as well, Jessica added a piece of Natural Burlap Ribbon around the center of the card. Moving onto the focal point of the card. Using some E-Flute Corrugated Kraft Paper, Jessica die cut the piece using MCT~Vintage Stitched Label Die and added more cardstock and designer paper using die cuts from MCT~Scallop & Stitched Circle Dies. For the sentiment, she took a Canvas Tag, separated the layers and die cut the banner shape. Then using the sentiment from MCT~From Our Family to Yours she stamped onto the canvas using Versafine Onxy Black ink.

Tammy Hobbs

For today's "Color Challenge", Tammy started with a card base of Medium Weight Kraft cardstock onto which she added her embossed panel of Buff Ivory Cover Weight cardstock. She took vintage photo distress ink and sponged it across the panel with her ink blending tool. A doily was added to the center of the panel. A length of red ribbon from her stash was wrapped around the card front and tied into a bow adding a button and topping with a bow made from Metallic Twist Hemp Twine. A pennant was created from brown designer paper and was added to the right side of the card front. Tammy created a paper rosette from gray designer paper and added a metallic gray covered button. Three flowers were added for further embellishing. Lastly she used a small staple to fasten a leftover ribbon snippet to serve as a decorative panel for her "Thankful" sentiment from the Chit Chat Seasonal Word Stickers.
