Challenge #183 - Dictionary Pages

Good Morning!
Today is the start of a new Challenge - Dictionary Pages hosted by Kraft Outlet.

Tammy Hobbs
Tammy has made it no secret her love for our Vintage Dictionary Pages. For the challenge today, she decided to use the pages as a backdrop for her card. She started with a card base of Buff Ivory Cardstock onto which she added Brown Kraft Cover Weight Cardstock with distressed edges. Next, Tammy added pieced together layers of Vintage Dictionary Pages and patterned paper to the kraft base. A length of crochet trim was added in the middle. She stamped her vintage labeled image onto Buff Ivory Cardstock and used a coordinating die to cut it out before placing it on the card front with foam mounting tape. Aqua Mist Bias Tape was used to create a fluffy bow in the corner which she embellished further with Natural Hemp Cord and a flower. Lastly, she added three pearls to the lower right corner for a final embellishing touch. For additional pictures and a complete supply list, please visit Tammy at Creating Somewhere Under The Sun.

Anitra Tovar

Anitra had back to school on her mind when she created this card using some Vintage Dictionary Pages!  Anitra Started out with a Lunch Bag Kraft Note Card as her base.  Because the note cards come with the matching envelope Anitra loves keeping these note cards on hand for quick cards.  She matted some black cardstock to the dictionary page piece and adhered it to the card base.  Next she added some gingham patterned paper.  She cut some patterned paper flash cards and using pop dots she raised one of the cards.  Next she used ephemera from the Thrift Shop pack and hand wrote 3rd.  Anitra the couldn't resist adding the ruler sticker from the Lost And Found Sticker pack.  She finished her card by wrapping some Earthy Hemp Cord to the bottom.  For more information on Anitra's card please visit her blog Stamping While They Sleep.

Kristi Schurr
Kristi used some dictionary pages to make flower embellishments for her card. She began by making a card base from Kraft Brown Cover Weight Card Stock, cut at 4.25x5.5 inches and tent folded. She layered patterned papers as shown, then die cut a doily and adhered it to the card center. Kristi  glued some pleated grey satin ribbon to the bottom third of the card. Then she adhered the sentiment sticker to the center of the doily. Kristi used her Dictionary Page flowers to embellish the side of the card. She then wrapped some Metallic Hemp Twine around the card twice, tying it into a bow and securing it behind the flowers. Kristi finished her card by adding a heart sticker, wood veneer bird and yellow enamel dot. For more information and a supply list, please visit Kristi at her blog, Kristi's Paper Creations.
