Make It Monday Challenge #190 - Sketch Challenge

Hi all, welcome to The Kraft Journal's Sketch Challenge #190.

Use this layout and these wonderful Design Team examples for inspiration!
Karen Letchworth
It's time for fun new Sketch Challenge this week, and Karen was really inspired by this sweet sketch.  She started with a Buff/Ivory Note Card and covered it with coordinating Buff/Ivory Cover Weight Card Stock and a patterned paper that she machine stitched together.  Next, she placed a Mini Notebook Merchandise Bag on the patterned paper and then placed a small inked mat which was die-cut from a piece of Buff/Ivory Cover Weight Card Stock and a 3-D embellishment onto that.  Inside the Mini Notebook Merchandise Bag Karen placed a journaling card from the Jenni Bowlin Mini Deck Basics Set.  She ran a length of Blush Colored Hand-Stained Bias Tape across the card and also created a bow with it.  At the bottom of the card, Karen placed some Jenni Bowlin Office Chipboard Buttons with Natural Hemp Cord in the centers, and a Vintage Style Ticket in the middle.  It's a really sweet sketch, and we're sure you will have fun with it.  You're invited to visit Karen's Blog, My Cup Runneth Over, to say hello and read a complete supply list.  Happy crafting!

Tammy Hobbs
For this week's sketch challenge, Tammy started with a card base of Blackboard Stock Paper onto which a piece of patterned paper was added.  Taking her own creative liberty with the sketch, Tammy replaced the circle with a layered die using patterned paper and Brown Kraft cardstock.  She took a length of Hand Stained Bias Tape in Lilac Lace to wrap around the card and create a bow which was embellished with a orange button laced with Black Baker's Twine.  Lastly she added a wooden pumpkin and die-cut stars made of Brown Kraft cardstock and Buff Ivory cardstock. Anitra Tovar

Anitra loves a good sketch!  For this week's challenge she started with a Lunch Bag cardstock and matted some paisley print patterned paper.  Next she add the three squares along the bottom following the sketch.  She matted the striped patterned papers with more of the Lunch Bag cardstock.  Anitra then used one of her favorite embellishments, Hand Stained Bias Tape!  The Kraft Outlet offers many colors, but the Aqua Mist worked perfectly in this card.  Using a layered flower she adhered it to her card and added leaves. She then added a chipboard button and threaded some Natural Hemp Cord through the holes.  Next she stamped a doily image and adhered it to the card front.  For her sentiment she stamped on a White Pearlized Decorative Label.  To bring out the sentiment she matted it in a coordinating colored cardstock and popped it up using pop dots.  For more information on Anitra's project please visit her blog:  Stamping While They Sleep.

As always, participants in our weekly challenges have a chance to be selected as our Featured Artist and showcased on one of our "Feature Me Fridays" posts. Each month Kraft Outlet will randomly give away a $15.00 Store Voucher at!
