Make It Monday Challenge #194 - Color!

Hi again and thanks for stopping by The Kraft Journal.  Today is a new Challenge - Color! and our Design Team Reveal.  Take a look at our color inspiration!

Remember, you don't have to use all the colors.
Anitra Tovar
Anitra has created a fun vintage style card for this week's challenge.  Using the colors of this week's challenge Anitra was inspired to create a Halloween card!  She started with a Lunch Bag Kraft cardstock as her base.  Next she matted some fun pattern paper on to her card front.  To give it a more vintage look she added a small scalloped Vintage Dictionary page which she distressed using some black ink.  Anitra then used a piece of Blackboard Stock Paper and matted another fun patterned paper to it.  She then tied some Earthy Hemp Cord around her striped piece and tied a simple bow.  For her image Anitra used a digital image she had on hand and distressed it using more of the black ink.  For more information on how Anitra created this card please stop by her blog:  Stamping While They Sleep.

Tammy Hobbs
Tammy loves to be challenged, and that she was this week with our color challenge. She used lots of fine products from The Kraft Outlet to get her started.  For her card, she decided to start with Blackboard Stock Paper for her base which she followed by adding her patterned paper to the base. She then die-cut a star and placed it at an angle peeking out from beneath the stamped Kraft Shipping Tag.    The Boo sentiment as well as the vintage image are both from the Tim Holtz Salvage Sticker - Seasonal Book.  She embellished with Prima flowers from her stash, a glittered button, and a bow made from the Pastel Hemp Cord collection.   For additional pictures and a complete supply list, please visit Tammy's blog at Creating Somewhere Under The Sun.

Karen Letchworth
Karen isn't a big fan of "all things spooky", but she really enjoys being inspired by inspiration photos.  So, for this week's Color Challenge, she took inspiration from the warm Autumn color palette in the inspiration photo.  She created her card using a Small Lunch Bag Kraft Notecard.  To that, she attached some patterned papers, a journaling card, some vintage rick rack, stickers, a few lengths and bows of Natural Hemp Cord.
Karen Letchworth
Karen held her bow together with a sweet Tiny Wooden Clothespin that she covered with a bit of Black With White Polka Dot Washi Tape.  She also stuck in a rusty Tim Holtz Memo Pin.  Some machine stitching and inking finish off Karen's card.  You're welcome to stop by Karen's blog, My Cup Runneth Over, to see a complete supply list.  Have fun with this great color palette and inspiration photo!

As always, participants in our weekly challenges have a chance to be selected as our Featured Artist and showcased on one of our "Feature Me Fridays" posts. Each month Kraft Outlet will randomly give away a $15.00 Store Voucher at!
