Make It Monday #202 - Color Inspiration

Good Morning!  We are so happy you stopped by the Kraft Journal.
Christmas is almost here and todays Challenge #202 - Color Inspiration is all about the holiday!  I have been seeing these drop dead gorgeous wreaths on Pinterest and Etsy for a while now and I love all the vintage ornaments.  So today we have one of these beautiful wreaths as our inspiration.  Remember this is just inspiration, you don't have to use all the colors to participate.

Let's take a look at what the design team has for us.

Tammy Hobbs
Tammy kept her card for this week's color challenge pretty simple. It's a busy time of year, so clean and simple always works when you need a quick creation. Tammy started with a base of Brown Kraft cardstock onto which she added an embossed layer of Buff Ivory cardstock.  Next she created two pennant banners and layered them on top of the other adding them to the center of the card front.  The wreath was cut using her electronic cutting machine and added to the center using foam adhesive for added dimension. For additional pictures and details, please visit Tammy's blog: Creating Somewhere Under The Sun.
Karen Letchworth
Karen admittedly struggles with color challenges, but then again - it's fun to truly CHALLENGE yourself.  She started her card with a Large Buff/Ivory Note Card and then added strips of card stock representing each of the colors shown in the inspiration photo.  Next, she stamped a Christmas scripture sentiment onto a piece of coordinating Buff/Ivory Cover Weight Cardstock and layered it onto the same colored card stocks from the inspiration photo.  She added a Crinkled Seam Binding bow topped with a button that has Red Baker's Twine tied through it.  Karen also inked the edges of the card and added some coordinating colored sequins for some extra sparkle and pizzazz!  It's really quite simple, and the Kraft Outlet makes it easy to create cards from simple to very detailed - all depending on your style or mood.  Karen hopes you will treat yourself to some new Christmas goodies from the Kraft Outlet, and then come play along in our Color Challenge this week.  You're also welcome to visit Karen's Blog, My Cup Runneth Over, to say hello.

Use this week's theme to inspire you to create your project and then link it up at the bottom of this post before 6:00pm (Central Time) on Sunday. Please limit your entries two per challenge.

Participants in our weekly challenges have a chance to be selected as a Featured Artist and showcased on one of our "Feature Me Fridays" posts. Also, all who participate in our challenges this month have a randomly selected chance to win a $15.00 Store Voucher from Kraft Outlet!

Remember to follow the Challenge rules or you will not be eligible to win!
