CAS Ribbon or Twine - Challenge #221

Clean And Simple - those are words that should be easy to follow, but the old saying "less is more" can be hard to follow.  In a CAS challenge you have to rely heavily on design and not all the pretty embellishments that can add pizzaz!  Now that doesn't mean your card has to be Zen-like, so let's see what the Design Team has for us this week in Challenge #221 - CAS Ribbon or Twine.

Karen Letchworth
Design Team Member, Karen Letchworth LOVED this week's Twine/Ribbon Challenge, and created the easiest card ever.  This is such a great idea for gift-giving because it's easy, it's cost-effective, it's hand-made (with love), and the recipient will LOVE it!  Karen started her card with a Small Lunch Bag Kraft Note Card, and to that she simply attached a small white doily, and a Mini Chevron Kraft Merchandise Bag with several lengths of Black Baker's Twine wrapped around it.  The sentiment is a rub-on that she applied to a piece of scrap paper using her Bone Folder Tool.  Small bags from the Kraft Outlet, such as the Mini Chevron Kraft Merchandise Bag cost just $0.25 each, and are so perfect for this type of project because they all hold a gift card just perfectly, and they adhere to the front (or inside) of your note cards so nicely.  The Kraft Outlet has so many great products that make card-making and gift-giving a breeze.  Karen hopes that you will do some shopping today at the Kraft Outlet, and then come play along in our Twine/Ribbon Challenge this week.  She also welcomes you to visit her blog, My Cup Runneth Over, to say hello!

Tammy Hobbs
Tammy always struggles with CAS, but she says this really was a simple card to create...but may not be clean. She started with a card base of Brown Kraft cardstock. She then found a piece of plain blue scrapbook paper in her scraps and placed it over the card front leaving a strip of kraft peeking below. She then stamped her sentiment in the lower right corner in black ink. She took a length of Red Baker's Twine and wrapped it around and tied in a bow! Three baseballs were cut and stamped placed at an angle. Lastly, a few sequins were spread across the front for visual interest. Marsha Drain
CAS is an easy style for Marsha so this challenge was right up her street and using a few of the products at the Kraft Outlet, her card turned out so yummy.  The card base and scallop cut are Brown Kraft (her favorite color of Kraft).  The image and sentiment are placed on the main panel of Buff Ivory.  The yellow twine is just one of the many colors of Baker's Twine in the Kraft Outlet store.  For more details about her card, visit her blog Grammas Room.

Use this week's theme to inspire you to create your project and then link it up at the bottom of this post before 6:00pm (Central Time) on Sunday.
Please limit your entries two per challenge, others will be deleted.
